Wedding Day Transformation

Every heirloom gown holds a story.
Through thoughtful design and couture craftsmanship, we transform treasured garments into modern silhouettes while preserving their history.
Unlike keepsake-only services, many I Do Redo! projects involve complete pattern redevelopment and couture-level reconstruction while preserving the most meaningful elements of the original gown.

Modern Lace Silhouette

It was the brides dream to wear her beloved Grandmothers wedding gown. She wanted a full reconstruction by using the lace and creating a new silhouette into a modern sheath gown.

Lace Placement
We began by carefully taking the original gown apart while preserving the handmade lace.
Once the lace was removed, a new silhouette was created with updated lining and finished with delicate Alençon lace appliqué details.

Three Generations, One Gown
A wedding gown becomes even more meaningful when it carries the love story of more than one generation. For this transformation, we carefully restored the bride’s grandmother’s (1950's -60's) gown — a dress that her mother also wore on her wedding day — preserving the original lace, delicate details, and sentimental elements that made it so special. Through couture redesign and restoration techniques, the gown was thoughtfully reimagined for today’s bride while honoring the beauty and memories woven into every stitch. What was once treasured by a grandmother and mother now begins a beautiful new chapter for the next generation.

The Transformation Process
We began by carefully taking the original gown apart while preserving the lace. We restored many layers of chantilly lace to return the gown back to its original splendor.
We created a new bodice for the bride and applied a modern applique.
